Tunbridge Wells: Mum and daughter shocked by potty-mouthed baby doll

A mother and her seven-year-old daughter were left in a state of shock by a toy doll’s 'foul mouth'.

Abbie Martin used her Christmas money to complete her Baby Born doll set only to hear what sounds like the words “mama, mama, you b****”.

Sara, her mum, is set to take the £40 doll back to the Tunbridge Wells branch of Toys R Us.

Miss Martin, 43, said: “My daughter had some money for Christmas and we went to Toys R Us in Tunbridge Wells.

“She was excited because she has some other toys of the same brand and she wanted a Baby Born doll to complete the set.”

The family, from Hawkhurst, bought the doll on Friday and instead of phrases such as “mama” and “papa”, Miss Martin claims the toy swears.

She added: “We drove home and put some batteries in her and Abbie started playing with it.

“You have to move her right arm for her to talk and we heard what she said. We had to have a couple of listens at first and then we realised she was saying ‘mama, mama, you b****’.

“Abbie is quite upset. She spent her Christmas money on that doll and now I have taken it away.”

Toys R Us has been approached for a statement.
