Pedestrian hit by car in Prospect Road, Tunbridge Wells

A woman has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Tunbridge Wells.

The pedestrian was knocked down in Prospect Road, between Calverly Road and Poona Road, at around 10.50am.

Drivers faced delays until around 1pm.

A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called to a report that a car and a pedestrian had collided in Prospect Road, Tunbridge Wells, at 10.49am on Monday 27 February 2017.

"The South East Coast Ambulance Service has also been called and the pedestrian, a woman, is currently receiving treatment at the scene."

She has since been taken to a local hospital for treatment.

No one has been arrested.
