Pedestrian hit by car on A2014 Pembury Road, Tonbridge

A 12-year-old girl has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Tonbridge.

The accident happened on the A2014 Pembury Road, north-bound, near Priory Street at 3.45pm.

The road was partially blocked and traffic reported to be slow.

A spokesman for South East Coast Ambulance service said: "The girl was assessed and treated at the scene and has been taken to Tunbridge Wells Hospital for further treatment."

It is understood she suffered a minor leg injury.
