Tunbridge Wells: Police dog helps officers make arrests during suspected burglary

A police dog has helped officers with the arrest of two men suspected of carrying out a burglary.

Officers received a call regarding the theft of a purse and contents from a business in Longfield Road, Tunbridge Wells.

On the same day, a police dog handler was alerted to a suspicious vehicle in Victoria Road, Dartford.

Despite requesting the vehicle to stop, it failed and continued to Thames Road, Crayford, where the driver left on foot leaving the passenger with the car.

Police Dog Major tracked down the driver, and a 24-year-old man from Welling and a 34-year-old man from Abbey Wood, London, were arrested in connection with the earlier burglary.

It happened on Thursday at around 1.49pm.

Both were later released pending further investigations.
