Matfield: Kent Police appeal for witnesses to Maidstone Road crash

Kent Police are appealing for witnesses to a crash that left a man with life threatening injuries.

The collision involving a blue Vauxhall Corsa and a Rover 45 happened on Maidstone Road, Matfield, yesterday afternoon.

The driver of the Corsa, a man in his 30s, had to be cut from the car and was taken to hospital in London by air ambulance.

He remains at the hospital with serious injuries.

The Corsa was travelling in the direction of the A21 when it collided with the Rover, which was heading in the opposite direction.

Maidstone Road was blocked between Reed Lane and Chestnut Lane due to the collision.

Officers from Kent Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit are urging anyone who may have seen the collision, or who saw either of the vehicles, to get in touch.
