Tunbridge Wells: North Farm Road shut due to flooding

A road has been closed and properties are without water due to a burst main, which flooded the carriageway.

North Farm Road is shut at the junction with Sandhurst Road and Upper Grosvenor Road and a representative from Kent County Council is en route.

Drivers are warned to expect delays in the area and to use alternative routes where possible.

Ann Seach, South East Water’s distribution manager, said: "We were alerted a problem at 1.40pm today (Thursday) and a technician was on the scene very quickly.

"We are currently trying to pinpoint the burst and will then re-route supplies around our network to keep as many customers with water as possible.

"We will also work quickly to repair the damaged water main to keep disruption to a minimum."
