An £8,000 watch has been stolen in a broad daylight snatch and run theft at a jewellery shop.
A Rolex Submariner watch in silver and gold with a black face was reported stolen to police by staff at Burrells jeweller in the Royal Victoria Place shopping centre in Tunbridge Wells just after midday on Monday, March 6 .
The suspect fled the shop, perused by staff, after asking to see the watch.
Grahame Smithers, manager, said: "They asked to look at the watch, we got it out, it's as simple as that, he just snatched it and ran."
Police have since released CCTV footage of a man they wish to speak to about the crime.
