Tunbridge Wells car park 'murder': James Marshall-Gunn appears in court charged with Giles Metcalfe murder

A second man has appeared in front of magistrates charged with murdering a homeless man.

Giles Metcalfe's body was found at the Torrington car park in Vale Road, Tunbridge Wells, after emergency services were called to a fire.

Yesterday, James Marshall-Gunn, of Hadlow Road, Tonbridge, appeared before Medway Magistrates charged with Mr Metcalfe's murder.

He was remanded in custody to appear at Maidstone Crown Court tomorrow.

Dean Lewis, who is jointly charged with Metcalfe's murder, appeared at the Barker Road court via video link from HMP Elmley yesterday.

Both men will enter pleas on Thursday, May 4. Should there be a trial, Judge Philip Statman said he expected to be trying it in September.
