Sex attack on woman in woodland

KENT Police are hunting a man with "a Portsmouth accent" after a woman reported being sexually assaulted in woodland.

The woman said she was approached from behind and dragged into a wooded area off Rusthall Road, Tunbridge Wells.

The attacker is described as white with a pale complexion and thought to be in his 30s. He was six foot with a slim build and untidy short hair. He was wearing a beige Umbro jacket and dark coloured jeans.

The victim said her attacker "had a Portsmouth accent" and that she lost an amethyst pendant during the assault. Anyone who found it is being encouraged to contact police.

Investigations are also trying to trace a black bin liner containing women's clothes believed to have been dumped near Bough Beech reservoir.

The incident happened at about 10.30pm on Wednesday, December 22, but details have only just been released by police.
