Barn fire in Broom Lane, Langton Green, Tunbridge Wells destroyed barn and 10 tonnes of logs

A barn fire that broke out in Tunbridge Wells last night took firefighters seven hours to put out.

The blaze in the 20m x 20m barn in Langton Green was reported to Kent Fire and Rescue Service around 3.00pm and three fire engines were sent to the site.

The fire destroyed the entire structure and flames spread to 10 tonnes of logs that were nearby - leaving them completely ruined.

A road closure for Broom Lane was being put in place at the junction with Langton Road, junction A264.

Fire crews are using the jets and a water shuttle in an attempt to put out the fire and left the scene at 10.00pm - seven hours after they arrived.
