Boys arrested after 'gunpoint robbery bid' in Brokes Way in Tunbridge Wells

Three boys have been arrested in connection with an alleged attempted robbery in Tunbridge Wells at gunpoint.

Police were called to Brokes Way after a report two teenage boys had been threatened with what appeared to be a firearm.

Officers have since arrested three youths - all aged under 16 - and have retrieved an imitation firearm, described as an antique musket.

A police spokesman said: "All three suspects have been bailed further pending enquiries until Thursday, September 11."

Apart from a soft drink which one of the victims was carrying, nothing else was reported stolen in the incident at about 6pm on Friday.
