Unclaimed lottery ticket worth £2m

A MYSTERY lottery winner from Kent has six weeks left to claim more than £2 million that is waiting for them.

The winning ticket, bought in the Tunbridge Wells, area matched all six numbers in the National Lottery’s Lotto draw on November 15 last year.

The winning Lotto numbers on that date were 2, 3, 17, 22, 40 and 42, giving the ticket owner a cool £2,543,170. The prize remains unclaimed and the ticket-holder has until 5.30pm on May 14 this year to come forward.

Now the National Lottery is urging everyone to check, double-check and dig out any old tickets

If no one comes forward with the winning ticket before the prize claim deadline, then the prize money, plus all the interest it has generated, will go to good causes.

It will add to the £19 billion already raised through sales of lottery tickets since the National Lottery was launched in November 1994.

A National Lottery spokesperson said: “We’re desperate to find this missing ticket-holder and unite them with their winnings. We have the champagne on ice, as well as our fingers crossed, that the lucky winner comes forward to claim their prize.”

The Lottery has given away more than £29 billion in prizes and created more than 2,000 millionaires or multi-millionaires since it was launched.

With all National Lottery draws, players have 180 days from the day of the draw to claim their prize if they have the winning ticket.

Anyone who believes they have the winning ticket for any of the National Lottery draws within the 180-day deadline should call the National Lottery Line on 0845 910 0000.
