The crash happened on the A229 Hartley Road, at the Swattenden Lane junction, at around 11.10am on Sunday, June 8.

The elderly man who died in hospital was from Shoreham-by-Sea, in West Sussex.

Several passengers in the two vehicles were treated for less serious injuries.

Officers from the Kent Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit are now appealing for witnesses to phone 01622 798538.
