Kent Police search for driver following crash on A262 near Flishinghurst, Cranbrook

A man has been found with minor injuries after the police helicopter and dogs were sent to search for him.

The man, who is in his mid 30s, walked through the door of his home in Cranbrook as police were taking details to launch a missing persons inquiry after his vehicle was found with serious damage.

The Peugeot 206 was found abandoned on the A262 Goudhurst Road near Flishinghurst at 9.20pm following a crash.

Kent Police confirmed their inquiries are ongoing while they establish the circumstances around the accident.

No other cars were thought to have been involved.

The road remained closed this morning while the vehicle was recovered.
