Fire destroys house in Headcorn

A two-storey home and workshop were razed this evening after fire engulfed the properties in Headcorn.

Both buildings were well alight when crews were called at around 7.15pm.

Firefighters used compressed air foam and hose reels to tackle the blaze, and even resorted to pumping water from a nearby pond, but were unable to save the property.
