Image released by detectives in hunt for Morris Minor stolen from Staplehurst

Detectives have released an image of a man they hope to speak to after a vintage Morris Minor van made in the 60s was stolen.

The green Morris Minor van, made in 1965, was stolen at around 11.30am on Sunday from the car park at Staplehurst railway station.

The van was later seen on the same day in nearby Marden where it is described as being driven erratically before entering an estate in the village.

Investigator Steve Foster said: “The owner of this van has had it for 20 years – he had the original van restored and modified, and used it daily.

“His children grew up with the project and it is held with very special regard by the whole family.
