Police appeal over A21 Pembury smash

Kent Police have issued an appeal for witnesses after yesterday’s serious collision on the A21 near Pembury.

A grey Mini Cooper and a black Renault Clio collided on the A21 at the junction with Henwood Green Road at around 5.40pm on Sunday.

Kent Police officers attended the scene along with paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service where two people were taken to a London hospital with serious injuries.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating the incident and are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen the vehicles immediately before or during the collision, or who has information that could assist with the investigation to get in contact as soon as possible.

Both sides of the road were closed between the A228 at Pembury and the B2160 at Kippings Cross near Tunbridge Wells were closed for five hours after the incident.

The air ambulance was called to the scene.
