Crash on A229 in Staplehurst involving motorbike

An air ambulance was called following a crash involving a motorbike in Staplehurst.

The A229 was blocked in both directions following the accident, which happened in Station Approach shortly after 12.10pm.

There were long queues reported either side of the railway station.

Police and ambulance crews were called to the scene, as well as the air ambulance.

The motorcyclist, in his 30s, was treated for shoulder and chest injuries before being taken to Tunbridge Wells Hospital in Pembury.
