Roy Blackman Biddenden murder investigation: Safe remains outstanding after search in Aylesham

A safe stolen during a violent raid on a Biddenden bungalow which left a pensioner dead remains outstanding after an extensive search.

Kent Police and specialist teams from Kent Fire and Rescue Service spent Friday digging in an area of Ratling Road, Aylesham, for the heavy-duty cabinet, described as a 5ft tall, metal and mustard-coloured.

It was taken from Heartsay Bungalow, Headcorn Road, in the early hours of Monday, March 21, during a burglary in which 73-year-old mechanic Roy Blackman was bludgeoned to death.
