An intrepid swan was saved from a sticky end after taking a stroll on the M20 this afternoon.

The bird was chased off the motorway, near junction 4, and the road is now clear.

Kent Police Roads uploaded a photo of the winged wonder on Twitter, with the caption: "Swan successfully moved from the carriageway".

Twitter users responded in the best way possible, comparing the incident to similar scenes from the 2007 film Hot Fuzz.
