Headcorn: Firefighters free woman after crash in Black Mill Lane

A woman was cut out of her car and airlifted to hospital after a crash in Headcorn.

The vehicle hit a van in Black Mill Lane and ended up partly in a ditch at 9.15am today.

Firefighters used hydraulic cutters and rescue equipment to free the woman, who was passed into the care of paramedics from Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance.

She was airlifted to Kings College Hospital with potentially serious injuries.
