Woman's crash death on A229 in Cranbrook due to 'natural causes'

The death of an 85-year-old woman after crash on a country road was due to natural causes, a coroner has decided.

The woman died following an accident on the A229 Angley Road near Cranbrook on October 1.

A silver Peugeot and a dark blue Ford Fiesta collided at the junction of Angley Road and High Street.

The woman, who lived locally, was taken to hospital but later died, and it was thought an inquest would be held.

But a coroner has decided her death was due to natural causes and there is no need any need for an inquest.

A 22-year-old man was also injured in the crash.
