Michael McHale Piano Recital

A free community event - a chance to hear one of the UK's leading soloists performing some absolute favourites including Moonlight Sonata in an hour's lunchtime concert.
Michael McHale is one of the most impressive pianists of his generation with his playing described as "instantly engaging" (Times). He has played in leading concert halls around the world and has agreed, as a friend of the TW International Music Festival, to conduct a piano masterclass for Grade8 pianists at 10am followed by a wonderful recital to inspire them all at noon. Take an hour out from your busy Saturday to relax in the magnificent King Charles the Martyr and listen to world-class music being made in your local community. Michael's delightful programme includes Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata and Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition. Also wonderful opportunity to encourage young pianists just starting out so bring along your budding pianists. The audience is also welcome to listen to the masterclass at 10am.
