Double Edged & Beyond
John Hosking MA & Eamon Everall MA, present a family friendly exhibition.
Everall & Hosking are staging this exhibition to mark the end of Folkestones International Triennial and to promote representational painting. Hosking is a full-time painter from Folkestone with a steadily rising UK reputation whose work often includes local scenes. He worked, among others, with the eminent & mercurial Mr Fred Cummings RA who, is also exhibiting in the town this month. Everall, an ex Harvey pupil originally from the area is a founding member of the notorious Stuckists who he continues to exhibit with. By now an international art movement, Stuckism, which promotes representational Painting in all of its diverse forms, is probably best known, to many, for the national media coverage of its colourful fancy-dress demonstrations at the Tate during the Turner Prize. Everall, who at one time, studied under Sir Peter Blake RA was also a student of Fred Cummings. This is a family friendly exhibition with good wheelchair access. Opening hours as per Folkestone Central Library.
