Happy Child Happy Parent
Free information evening on building emotional and mental resilience in children. Aimed at parents of primary school children.
Happy Child: Happy Parent will include practical guidance on digital interaction, dealing with bullying and family breakdowns, together with advice on setting boundaries and spending quality time with your children. Organised by local charity Fegans, which provides children’s counselling and parent support services across London and the South East. The evening will be led by a Fegans’ counsellor and a Fegans’ parent worker, and address the particular concerns for parents of that age group which include online safety, screen time and bullying. There will also be an opportunity for parents to ask questions. Mr Reid, Headmaster of Amherst School is urging parents to come along, saying it promises to be “an exciting event, strengthening our children, emotionally, socially and academically.” The event is free of charge and open to all parents but spaces are limited.
