Elgar's Dream of Gerontius performed by Tonbridge Philharmonic Society
Widely regarded as Elgar’s finest Choral work - The Dream of Gerontius is in two parts and takes its choral text from a poem by John Henry Newman. Composed in 1900, it tells the story of the journey of a religious man's soul from his deathbed to God’s judgement, finally arriving in Purgatory. Buy tickets at www.tonphil.org.uk/etickets.
