Faversham: Happy Endings Rescue animal charity holds its open day

Relax - there are only happy endings at this animal rescue charity.

Faversham-based Happy Endings Rescue provides sanctuary for some 300 animals in its 60 acres of green land.

The animals are unwanted or have been ill treated and come in all shapes and sizes from big, hairy pigs to goats, and llamas Titan, Moonstruck and Barney; Betty the owl, Mr Peacock and a plethora of guinea pigs, cats, dogs and other small and furry animals. Many are being prepared for new, permanent homes, while others will live out their days there.

The charity holds its spring open day this weekend, when there will be the chance to meet the animals, alongside lots of other activities.

There will be country market stalls, children's activities, country traders and a prosecco bar providing some fizz.

The open day is on Sunday, April 15 from 12.30pm. There is free parking and entry costs £5, with children going free. All money raised goes to supporting the care of the animals.
