Leeds Castle Classical Concert, Maidstone, will have a Battle of Britain theme and The Patriot Girls singing

The White Cliffs of Dover and We'll Meet Again are just some of the classics which will be performed as part of a Battle of Britain-themed celebration at the Leeds Castle Classical Concert next summer.

The Patriot Girls, who last played at the summer celebration near Maidstone in 2013, will be at the concert on Saturday, July 8, 2017.

The leading ladies, Joanne Pullen, Jo Gibb and Marissa Dunlop, are a versatile singing act who have their backgrounds in opera.

Other old favourites the crowd will be treated to include Pack Up Your troubles and Long Way to Tipperary.

The concert's artistic director, John Rigby, said: "Next year's concert will not only feature many popular classics such as the rousing Land of Hope and Glory, which audiences have come to associate with the event, but next year we're adding some Battle of Britain themes which will compliment what I'm sure will be another breathtaking flying display."

The audience will once again be a sea of Union Jacks, candelabras and costumes as they sing along and dance along to the onstage performances, finishing off with a spectacular firework finale.

Tickets are at the early bird price until Saturday, December 31. They are £35 for picnic-style and £46 for seated. For details visit leedscastleconcert.co.uk
