The Theatre Royal Margate will play host to his work in progress show on Friday, December 5 and wannabe audience-members are urged to act quickly when tickets go on sale at 9am on Tuesday, October 28 to friends of the theatre and at 10am to general members of the public.

Tickets sold out in record time when Alan announced three previous work in progress shows in Kent almost a year ago, and his popularity has not dimmed.

Alan's management said: "Alan will come to Margate with some brand new material to prepare for an arena tour in 2015. Please let the audience know in advance Alan will be performing from notes. Reselling of tickets will result in cancellation of booking."

Since winning the BBC New Comedy Award for Stand-up as well as City Life Best Newcomer of the Year in 2001, Alan has become one of the hottest comedy stars in Britain. The DVD of Alan’s 2007 stand-up show, Tooth Fairy Live, topped the HMV charts and was a Christmas 2007 best-seller.

Tickets will cost from £23 when they go on sale on Tuesday, October 28. The show is suitable for over-16s only. Visit www.theatreroyalmargate.com or call 01843 292795.
