Maidstone: Olympian Lizzy Yarnold tipped to take on Strictly on the BBC

Could Kent's own medal winning Winter Olympian Lizzy Yarnold's next challenge be taking on BBC's Strictly?

The two-time Winter Olympic skeleton champion, who won back to back golds at the Sochi and PyeongChang Olympics Games, is being tipped to join the line-up of this winter's dance show on BBC1.

An official line-up is yet to be revealed but the former Maidstone Grammar School for Girls student is among a list being touted as this year's possible contestants, which also includes heptathlete Jessica Ennis-Hill, speaker John Bercow, presenter Richard Hammond, Coach Trip star Brendan Sheerin, comedian Les Dennis and BBC presenter Steph McGovern.

Series 16 of the show will be screened in the autumn.
