The event is the latest venture from the team behind The Social – an all-day dance music show which will return to Mote Park next month after making its debut last year.
Before then, the food-focused weekend, which includes a fun fair and live bands, will take place on Saturday, August 23 and Sunday, August 24. Kids’ entertainment includes face painting, balloon making and magic.
Organiser Luke Bendall, who works alongside local lad Nic Fanciulli, the DJ behind The Social, said: “I’ve been to many food markets and festivals, and I always walk in and out in under two hours. We’ve decided to put on an event which really is a full, fun, family day out showcasing the best in all things, food, drink and entertainment.”
Early bird tickets are £6 for adults and free for under-12s. Early bird weekend tickets are £10. Gates will open at 11am until 9pm, with adults only from 8pm. Visit www.thesocialfoodfest.com for more information or to book tickets.
