Maidstone’s Mote Park will be the venue for events on both Saturday, July 8 and Sunday, July 9.

Saturday’s are 5K or 10K courses while a Pretty Muddy event has been scheduled for Sunday, with four start times.

Entry for the Pretty Muddy event costs £10 for 13 to 15-year-olds, £19.99 for 16 to 17-year-olds and adults.

Other Race for Life events coming up in Kent this summer are at Palm Bay, Margate, on Sunday, July 16 and at the seafront on Hampton Pier, Herne Bay, on Sunday, June 25.

One in two people in the UK will be diagnosed with cancer at some stage in their lives, although more people are surviving the disease now than ever before. Survival rates have doubled since the early 1970s.

This year’s Race for Life is in partnership with Tesco, and raises funds for lifesaving research to help beat cancer.
