Maidstone: UK Summer Motorhome & Caravan Show at Detling showground

Woodland walks and live music are two of the attractions bringing happy campers to the Kent Event Centre at Detling this weekend.

The UK Summer Motorhome & Caravan Show will be kicking off the summer with a fifth year at the showground from Thursday, June 7 to Sunday, June 10.

The show attracts traders and visitors from across the country and beyond with a range of motorhomes, caravans, accessories and consumables for club members and visitors to see.

Activities include line dancing, a friendly dog show, picnic bingo with cash prizes, and special bus trips to Rochester.

Organiser Vicky Bean said: , is looking forward to the fantastic weekend, and said: “We are very excited about the show returning to Kent following four amazing years so far. We are encouraging people to take advantage of the woodland walks, as the showground is surrounded by many beautiful nature spots that make it one of the reasons Kent Event Centre is the perfect place for the show year on year.”

Weekend camping ticket holders will be treated to entertainment on Thursday, June 7 when former X Factor contestant Faye Horne will perform on stage. The Friday evening will see a four-piece band Electric Heart, followed by Elvis tribute Mike Nova and comedy hypnotist, Grant Saunders.

Saturday evening’s entertainment will close with Simon Abbotts, a Tom Jones tribute act who has appeared on The One and Only, and seven-piece funk and soul band, Empire State.

On the gate, a weekend camping ticket costs £59 with a day visitor ticket £7. Kids under 14 have free entry.
