SGN giving away Love2Shop vouchers to gas customers

Gas supplier SGN is giving away £40 shopping vouchers and free carbon monoxide alarms to customers who take part in a new research project.

The project, called Real-Time Networks, aims for a cheaper and more secure gas future.

SGN delivers gas to 5.9 million homes and businesses across the south of England and Scotland. No matter who your supplier is, it's your gas in their network.

Their aim is to efficiently deliver gas that is secure and affordable. However, the UK's gas industry is rapidly changing due to decreasing supplies, increased use of renewable energy sources and changes in consumer demand.

SGN is collecting information in real-time to find out how much gas is needed and when by connecting data loggers to meters. This information will contribute towards SGN’s delivery management calculations and enable gas delivery to be managed more efficiently – and hence reduce cost of gas across the country.

Anyone who lives in the south east, uses gas and has a standard meter (not smart or pre-paid) can apply to take part on SGN’s website. A £40 Love2Shop Voucher and a free CO alarm worth £20 will be given to those who have a logger installed as a thank you.

For help with questions or to sign up you can contact their customer services team on 0800 912 1700.
