kmfm Breakfast show new presenters Garry Wilson and Laura Nevitt plus fresh new look

There’s a fresh, new slice of kmfm coming your way this week, starting from the top of the morning right through to the weekend.

The Breakfast show has a fresh new presenting team in the shape of Garry Wilson and Laura Nevitt, and they will be serving it up at the slightly different time of 6am to 10am.

Andy Walker will be bringing you your sounds through the day, with kmfm Daytimes coming to you from 11am to 4pm Monday to Friday.

Garry has had plenty of experience of early mornings, fronting Breakfast with Emma Adam for more than two years, but for Laura, who joined kmfm as an afternoon presenter last year, the 3am alarm calls are a new experience.

But she said: "I am quite annoyingly awake in the mornings. That may be a shock to the system for Garry!”

The pair had a two-week stint together for holiday cover back in August, when they gelled well. “We didn’t kill each other, anyway,” said self-confessed chatterbox Laura. Running from 6am to 10am, listeners get an extra slice of Breakfast.

And there’ll be new features, which include Say It, where listeners have the chance to win £1,000, and which will be streamed live on Facebook. Then there’s Wilson’s Whoppa – a version of Would I Lie to You? or the 70s gameshow Call My Bluff.

There’ll also be more showbiz interviews and the inescapable talk about the build-up to Laura’s wedding, which is in the summer. “Garry will be able to tell me if I’m becoming Bridezilla or not!” says Laura.

Other changes include Andy Walker bringing you your weekend Breakfast on Saturdays, from 7am to 11am, including We Love the 90s at 10am.

And you can still get your fix of Emma Adam, who moves from Breakfast to Saturday Daytimes, between 11am and 3pm.
