Maidstone: Aled Jones to host the Leeds Castle Classical Concert for a second year

Singer and presenter Aled Jones MBE will host the popular Leeds Castle Classical Concert for a second time this summer.

Aled, who has been a household name since the 1980s, will host the show at Leeds Castle near Maidstone on Saturday, July 8.

He joins a programme including the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, singing sensations the Patriot Girls and a Spitfire flying display by Headcorn-based Aero Legends, plus a fireworks finale.

Event director Richard Millward said: "We are so pleased to have Aled Jones return for a second year.

"He will be acting more as the event host, interacting with the performers on stage and with the audience. Who better to have as the host of the many parties that take place on classical concert night."

Aled said: "I am so looking forward to returning to host the Classical Concert at this most wonderful castle in Kent, the Garden of England - the perfect setting for what we all hope will be a beautiful summer's evening. Here's to another unforgettable musical event."

Aled hosts his own show Weekend show ITV on Saturday and Sunday mornings, among other shows.

Ticket prices until Sunday, April 30 are for picnic style tickets, £39 and seated £50. After Sunday, they rise to £42 and £52. Book at leedscastleconcert.co.uk
