An exciting new addition to the 22 annual KM Charity Walk taking place this month is a food festival and garden party being staged at the finish line.

On completion of the walk participants can relax in the beautiful grounds of the Grade II listed Georgian mansion Mote House, Maidstone. Free massages will be on offer from representatives from the European School of Osteopathy and live music provided by The Acoustic Tones.

Refreshments available for purchase will include barbecue, crêpes, doughnuts, candy floss, slushies, ice cream, wine, cider and soft drinks. For the first time the garden party and food festival is also open to non participants of the KM Charity Walk to attend at a cost of £1 per person.

Tickets are still available for the KM Charity Walk which is being staged on Sunday, June 25. Children under 16 years go free when booking online and dogs are welcome at no extra charge.

Walkers can choose between a five mile route and a more challenging 10-mile option which leads to stunning views of Leeds Castle. All participants will receive a goody bag and souvenir medal at the finish line.

The event is backed by Maidstone Ramblers, Gullands Solicitors, Glosrose Engineering Ltd, The Spud Hut, Hush Heath Winery, The Kent Cider Company, The European School of Osteopathy, The Woodstove Trading Company, Simply Ice Cream, and Mote House Audley.

Event organiser Sophie Wallace of the KM Charity Team said: “It’s the perfect day out for friends and families. Enjoy a stroll together through gorgeous Kent countryside and unwind in the sunshine at our garden party with a delicious selection of food and drink.”
