Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells band The Gallerys to tour with The Bluetones

A three-piece Kent band are set to play to thousands after being signed up to support The Bluetones on tour.

The Gallerys, from Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells, who draw influences from The Who, Oasis, The Jam and classic Britpop, have been signed up for the tour in May, which will take them to venues including the Manchester Ritz and Shepherds Bush Empire.

It will mean playing to some of the biggest venues to date for the group, who are Craig Barden on bass and vocals, James Wood on guitar and vocals and Dan Maggs on drums and vocals.

The group said: "It's a great opportunity to be going on tour supporting The Bluetones, playing our music to huge crowds.

"We love performing live, so playing at Shepherds Bush and Rock City Nottingham, to name a couple of the venues, is going to be huge. We can't wait."
