Marcus Brigstocke at the Hever Festival 2015

Opening the Hever Festival this summer is comedian Marcus Brigstocke on Friday, July 3.

The QI regular is sure to put audiences at Hever Castle in the mood for what’s coming over the next two months.

Marcus said: “There’s no nicer sound than people laughing, it’s a very joyful thing.”

He brings his critically acclaimed show, Je M’accuse – I am Marcus, to the Hever Festival Theatre on Friday, July 3, at 8pm. Tickets for covered seating cost £15.

OUTDOOR THEATRE AT HEVER THIS SUMMER

Fallen Angels Kent Rep
One of Noël Coward’s most outrageous comedies, Fallen Angels follows Jane and Julia, who both had pre-marital affairs with the same Frenchman who is threatening to visit them in London. A critic described the play as “an insult to British womanhood”. Get along and judge for yourself!
When: Thursday, July 30, to Saturday, August 1, 8pm. Matinee at 2.30pm on Friday, July 31.

The Pitman Painters Bromley Little Theatre
Based on real events, the Pitman Painters by Tony award-winning Lee Hall tells the story of a group of miners who enter the world of art. BLT’s production of Anne Boleyn was a sell-out last year, so this is a performance not to be missed.
When: Thursday, August 13, to Saturday, August 15, 8pm. Matinee at 2.30pm on Friday, August 14.

The Tales of Peter Rabbit and Benjamin Bunny Quantum Theatre
Peter Rabbit knows not to go into Mr McGregor’s garden, but his naughty cousin Benjamin manages to convince him, leading them into all sorts of trouble. Join in the family fun to find out whether or not they make it out in time!
When: Thursday, August 6, 2.30pm

The Jungle Book Chapterhouse
Rudyard Kipling’s best known and most loved story creates an enchanting and fun-filled musical show for children of all ages, and for this performance children are invited to dress up in their favourite animal costume and join in a jungle parade during the interval.
