The cream of the county’s young musicians will perform with internationally-acclaimed violinist Chloe Hanslip at Kent County Youth Orchestra’s Summer Concert.
For the first time, aspiring violinists and music enthusiasts can enjoy a masterclass with Chloe, 26, the evening before the concert.
The orchestra will present a programme of popular classics with the theme East Meets West, featuring the works of some of Russia and America’s finest composers.
The mix includes Fanfare for the Common Man by Copland, the Overture from Carlos Breugnon by Kabalevsky, Violin Concerto by Barber and Symphonic Dances by Rachmaninov.
The concert takes place at 7.30pm on Saturday, August 30, at Mote Hall in Maidstone Leisure Centre. Tickets cost from £6.50. Visit www.thegulbenkian.co.uk or call 01227 769075.
