Dartford Festival 2018 to feature Midge Ure, BoyzLife and two days of live, free entertainment

Midge Ure, BoyzLife, featuring Boyzone’s Keith Duffy and Westlife’s Brian McFadden, and The Blockheads are just some of the names to be performing at this weekend's Dartford Festival.

The stellar line-up take to the Main Stage throughout the weekend as Central Park becomes a mecca for festivalgoers of all ages on Saturday, July 14 and Sunday, July 15.

Away from the Main Stage, visitors will be able to see dance and drama groups on the Community Stage and browse charity and trade stalls, while local sports clubs will also be running activity taster sessions including Dartford Valley Rugby Club and Dartford Cricket Club.

There will also be a range of food and drink on offer at the food courts and licensed bars - or bring your own picnic and sit back and relax.

Leader of Dartford council, Cllr Jeremy Kite, said: “Dartford Festival is the highlight of the Central Park calendar and this year we’re welcoming some classic acts to the main stage.

“We love to mix big name stars with the best of our local bands and this year Midge Ure, Boyzone’s Keith Duffy and Westlife’s Brian McFadden will making their debut.

“We work hard to make it a fantastic family event so our community stage will be busy all weekend celebrating the groups, clubs and talented local people who make Dartford a very special place. We’re very proud of the Dartford Festival."

The Dartford Festival will be in Central Park, Dartford from 11am to 7pm on Saturday, July 14 and 10.30am to 6pm on Sunday, July 15. For details of the event go to dartford.gov.uk
