Kate Tempest joins Annie Mac and Jake Bugg at LeeFest 2017

The latest headliner has been announced for Kent music extravaganza, LeeFest.

Kate Tempest, the former Mercury Prize, nominee, will top the bill on the first day of the three-day festival that runs from Thursday, August 10 Saturday, August 12.

The 31-year-old from south London is an accomplished playwright, novelist, poet and respected recording artist.

Her first album Balance became a critically acclaimed sensation and her live shows are known for effortlessly weaving song, spoken word and rap.

Kate will joins fellow headliners Annie Mac and Jake Bugg at LeeFest, near Tunbridge Wells.

Also on the bill are punk rockers Milk Teeth, hip-hop collective Jungle, RAM Records legend Wilkinson, Mr Scruff and Rudimental protege Kidnap Kid.

Special guests will be Wild Beasts, known for kaleidoscopic guitar rhythms and lyrics you can scream at the top of your lungs.
