Saxon to headline the extra day added to Maidstone's Ramblin' Man Fair this July

The Ramblin' Man Fair is set to be over three days this year in Maidstone, organisers have announced.

The rock festival, which will be held in Mote Park, Maidstone, for the third time this summer, will now start on Friday, July 28, and run through the weekend to Sunday, July 30.

It is the first time the event will have been held over three days.

Headliners for the first day will be Saxon, who have played the fair before.

Saxon will play the main stage on the first day, with other acts for the Friday, which starts at 4pm.

Formed in 1977, festival favourites Saxon have had a career spanning 40 years and have sold more than 15 million albums.

Frontman Biff Byford said: "After a great time at the first Ramblin' Man Fair we are very happy to be asked back to headline the inaugural Friday night this year.
