Rochester Castle Concerts series featuring Craig David, Wet, Wet, Wet, Magic of Motown and Castle Proms this week

Rochester gets the Castle Concerts treatment this week.

The annual series of outdoor concerts, organised by Medway Council, run from Tuesday, July 11, to Saturday, July 15 at Rochester Castle, with all but one night now sold out.

Tickets for pop star Craig David’s two nights tonight and Thursday, July 13, both sold out in double quick time.

Glaswegian 80s stars Wet, Wet, Wet perform on Wednesday, July 12, led by Marti Pellow, with hits including With A Little Help From My Friends and Love Is All Around. Support comes from the South.

On Friday, July 14, the Magic of Motown hits the stage, and the last night, the Castle Proms bring the series to a patriotic end on Saturday, July 15.

The classical show with plenty of flag-waving, will have music from the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, joined by Britain’s Got Talent star Jonathan Antoine, Laura Wright and the Hertfordshire Chorus.

The night is rounded off with a fireworks finale. Tickets cost £34.50 and are still available. Visit tickets.medway.gov.uk.
