Best known for his work with 1960s supergroups Cream and Blind Faith, the legendary Ginger Baker is widely regarded as one of the most talented and tempestuous drummers in rock music history.

In Beware of Mr Baker, American journalist and film-maker Jay Bulger explores Ginger’s colourful life and career.

He uses a blend of archive footage, animation and interviews with Ginger's former collaborators (including Eric Clapton and John Lydon) and, most tellingly, the unpredictable Ginger himself, who even in his 70s proves capable of dishing out an angry beating.

The 2012 documentary, rated 15, is being screened by Thanet Film Society at the Palace Cinema in Broadstairs, at 8pm on Tuesday, December 17.

Admission is £6. Call 01843 865726.
