ASSEMBLY HALLS THEATRE, TUNBRIDGE WELLS

Cinderella

Former Tracy Beaker star Dani Harmer stars as Cinderella alongside Louise Jameson, who brings her 44 years of experience in shows from EastEnders to Doctor Who, to play the Fairy Godmother in this dazzling production. CITV and Nickelodeon star Jamie Rickers joins the cast, with Owen Thompson as Prince Charming and Ugly Sisters Byron Mondahl and David Ball.

A classic tale with a King Rat bent on world domination and a young man with big dreams will be presented by the Guild Players. The group, which recently became the resident theatre company at the Astor, tell the tale of Dick Whittington, who wants to become Lord Mayor and marry Alice Fitzwarren. Look out for Dick’s best pal Tommy the Cat , Sarah the Cook, plus his brother Idle Jack.

Fresh from a sell-out reunion tour, S Club 7 singer Tina Barrett will appear in this star-studded show. She’ll be joined by Hollyoaks star Joe Tracini – who is also comedian Joe Pasquale’s son – and much-loved veteran children’s TV presenter Derek Griffiths. Tina, who has starred in two pantos previously, will be playing Fairy Bowbells, while Joe will play Idle Jack and Derek, known for such shows as Play Away and Play School, will be King Rat. Also joining them will be Paul Danan from Hollyoaks, a five-piece band, and some stunning sets and costumes.

Former X Factor contestant, and fresh from the Celebrity Big Brother house, Stevi Ritchie joins the cast along with top of the bill Sue Holderness of Only Fools and Horses fame. Stevi will play Potty Pierre, pot washer to the palace, and promises to have audiences rolling in the aisles.

She may be known to millions of TV viewers as Albert Square’s Roxy Mitchell, but this festive season Rita Simons will be starring as Snow White at Kent’s biggest panto. Also appearing are CBeebies star Phil Gallagher (Mister Maker), everyone’s favourite dame, Ben Roddy, and Lloyd Hollett. Last year’s Marlowe panto was seen by 90,000 people.

Boyzone star Shane Lynch is heading the cast at this year’s pantomime at the Stag. Shane has been a household name for 20 years and will head to Sevenoaks to play arch villain Captain Hook, joining Jamie Foreman, who played Derek Branning in Eastenders, as Smee. Ben Ofuedo, lead singer of 1990s pop group Phatts and Small, is also appearing alongside Anna Kumble.

Canadian singer Andy Laine joins Bucks Fizz star Mike Nolan for this year’s Folkestone-Hythe Operatic and Dramatic Society’s pantomime. Following on from last year’s success with Jack and the Beanstalk, there will be a mix of professional and amateur talent, with Mike playing Idle Jack, the dame’s friendly but useless assistant. The archetypal baddie, King Rat, will be played by Andy.

Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood

Famous as part of the Irish girl group B*Witched, singing sisters Edele and Keavy Lynch will be starring as a goodie and a baddie in the Woodville’s panto. Edele will be the Witch of the Wood while her sister will be the Fairy of the Forest. They will be joined by EastEnders’ Ricky Norwood as the Sheriff of Nottingham. Expect high jinks, romance and adventure in this Magic Beans production.
