The Collingwood Band of the Royal Marines, conducted by Lt Col Nick Grace, will perform on the Memorial Bandstand from 2pm.

It is the 24th year of the concert at the bandstand, built in 1992 as a memorial to the 11 people killed in the IRA bombing of the town’s Royal Marines Barracks in 1989.

As well as the main concert there will be entertainment provided by the Band of 2235 Squadron Deal Air Training Corps, the Folkestone Military Wives Choir, the Victory Band, the Band of Dover Sea Cadets and a flypast by the RAF Spitfire and Hurricane of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.

Admission is free.

A full colour programme, sponsored by the KM Group, will be on sale on the day for £2. For information visit www.dealbandstand.org.
