A man suffered serious head injuries in a crash involving two cars in Canterbury this morning.

Police and ambulance crews were called at 7am to Whitstable Road and sealed the route off in both directions between Westgate Court Avenue and Forty Acres Road.

The victim was transferred to a London hospital. The road has since reopened.
