Three men stole two safes and cash from a Whitstable pub

A hunt has been launched for three burglars who stole cash from a Whitstable pub.

Police have released CCTV images and are appealing for witnesses following an early morning break-in at the Plough Inn on Monday, January 2.

Two safes and wads of cash were stolen from the St John’s Road between 6.30am and 6.50am.

Police spokesman Amanda Wills said: “We are keen to hear from anyone who saw anyone acting suspiciously at the pub during those times, or who recognises the men in the images.

“The first man was wearing tracksuit bottoms, trainers with a white trim, a Puffa-style jacket, a black woollen hat with a white trim and a hooded top under his jacket.

“The second man was wearing jeans and a hooded top and was carrying a small rucksack. The third was wearing tracksuit bottoms, a beany hat and a Puffa-style jacket.”
