Delays have eased after a crash involving two cars on the A299 Thanet Way.

There were tailbacks for two miles after the incident involving a red Volkswagen Golf and a green Peugeot shut one lane between Yorkletts and Goodnestone on the Londonbound carriageway.

Police were called at 3.10pm and the road was cleared by 5.30pm.

There were no injuries reported.
